Dubai regulator (Dubai Municipality) to launch certification scheme for health & safety officers for labor accommodations

The Health and Safety Department of Dubai Municipality (DM) intends to launch the certification scheme for Health and Safety officers for labor accommodations. The Health and Safety officers (HSO) would be required to get certification from EIAC accredited persons certification bodies. As per the scheme all large labor accommodations would be required to designate two health and safety officers while medium size labor accommodations shall have at least one health and safety officer. The main accreditation criteria for persons certification bodies shall be ISO/IEC 17024 standard.

Persons certification bodies and stakeholders are invited to provide input for the scheme.
